Do Kuwaiti citizens need a visa for Dubai?
Kuwait is a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member, so Kuwaiti citizens can enter the UAE with a valid national ID card or passport. No visa, sponsor or advance approval is needed.
If you live in Kuwait but hold another nationality, open your own passport's page from the country list — you'll see the visas that apply to you.

Arriving in Dubai on a Kuwaiti passport
- Carry a valid national ID card or passport.
- Have your return or onward ticket and your hotel booking or host's address ready, as officers can ask.
- Check how many days your entry permit allows and note your last day.
- If you plan to stay longer, apply for an extension before that day to avoid overstay fines.
Staying longer than your entry permit
You can extend before your entry permit runs out — from inside the UAE, or with a same-day airport-to-airport (A2A) change. All our prices are in US dollars (USD). If your card is in KWD, your bank converts the amount and may add a foreign transaction fee, so the final charge in KWD depends on your bank's rate.
